Primavera – Granite Belt Spring Style

Details below for our forthcoming dinner and tastings.

The dress code is neat casual. The temperature should be pleasantly warm by day and cool but not too cold in the evening. At night it is magic there looking across the water from the cafe at the winery.

Shiraz Master Class

$60 per person; presented by Andrew Corrigan MW. Saturday 29th Oct 3.00 – 5.00 pm. Includes a guide to shiraz and tasting of shiraz from the Granite Belt and classic examples from great Australian regions and some imported examples (from the Rhone Valley, France – the "home" of Syrah/Shiraz). Try a comparison of Hunter Valley, Barossa Valley, Great Western, Gigondas, Hermitage and others. See what styles win at wine shows. Learn how to recognise the taste of the important regions.

International Wine Dinner

A four course dinner with a bracket of wines served with each course, each bracket showing a particular style and comparing a famous Australian wine to imported examples. The menu will have an accent of French provincial style cooking and will utilise local ingredients susbstantially. Presented by Andrew Corrigan MW. $85 per person. Sat night 29th Oct 6.30 pm for 7 pm.

Sunday Morning 30th Oct Blend Your Own Muscat and Tasting of Chocolate

Hidden Creek has barrels of Muscat of various ages. The secret of a great Muscat is to blend the old wine for depth and lusciousness, with the young wine for freshness. The art is in the blending. Andrew Corrigan MW will lead you through the process and let attendees as individuals or teams have a try. We will taste each other's final blends and there will be a winner announced. Sunday morning 10 am – noon. $25 per person.
